FEATURING

the movie: i can only imagine

Our main act this year is an outdoor movie theater featuring the movie, I Can Only Imagine, which was a big hit in theaters the past few months. It will begin around 7:30pm at the Main Stage. Below is a description of the movie:

It’s the song that brings ultimate hope to so many … often in the midst of life’s most challenging moments. Amazingly, the song was written in mere minutes by MercyMe lead singer Bart Millard. In reality, those lyrics took a lifetime to craft.

Chasing a dream while running from broken relationships with his father and Shannon, his childhood sweetheart, Bart hits the road in an old, decrepit tour bus with his new band MercyMe—named for his grandmother’s favorite expression. With the guidance of a grizzled music-industry insider, the band begins a journey none of them could ever have imagined.

Directed by the Erwin Brothers, I CAN ONLY IMAGINE stars J. Michael Finley, Madeline Carroll, Trace Adkins, Priscilla Shirer, with Cloris Leachman and Dennis Quaid.

A gripping reminder of the power of forgiveness, I CAN ONLY IMAGINE beautifully illustrates that no one is ever too far from God’s love—or from an eternal home in Heaven.

water slides for all

It's gonna be hot outside so why not beat the heat on one of our water slides! We will have two water slides at this year's event, one for the little ones & one for the big kids/adults! The smaller slide is intended for ages 6 and below. The large Wipe-Out water slide will be for ages 6 and above. We ask all our parents to help us make sure your child goes on the appropriate slide.

Also help us keep clothing & bathing suits modest please. Thank you!

kids inflatables

Bring the kids out for some fun on the inflatables! There will be several for both little & big kids! Our toddlers will have they're own bouncy house specifically for small children. Our older kids are sure to have a blast on the Ninja Castle Combo which features a bouncy area & several obstacles. We also have a Monster Obstacle course for both kids and adults so parents get ready to take on the kids in a race!

great food on the grill

What's a celebration without some great food? When you arrive at the gate, your family will be given a meal ticket for each person. That meal ticket will include your choice between a hamburger or hot dog, chips, drink and dessert. You can also try out some of this year's BBQ contestants entries!

Soon as we know everyone has been served, we will open up the serving line back up for everyone to get seconds! Wanna bring your own grill and cook for your family? No problem! Feel free to bring your own grill and enjoy the evening!

family fun

Whether it's a nice game of horseshoes, volleyball or corn-hole we want you and your family to enjoy our beautiful park area! Several different game sections will be sectioned off in the park along with our big wiffle ball tournament where you can go head to head with other families that day! So bring on the games and let's have some fun!

things to know

we will be outdoors

** DUE TO SOGGY CONDITIONS IN OUR PARK, THE EVENT HAS BEEN MOVED TO THE PARKING LOT BEHIND THE CHURCH.

This event is a rain or shine outdoor event which takes place in our park area beside the main campus. There will be porta-potties and outdoor rest-rooms available. The main building will be closed. We expect the weather to be warm so please dress accordingly. We also recommend bringing some type of insect repellent  & sunscreen. Also you will need to bring a chair or blanket to sit on. Tents will be allowed in certain sections at the main stage. If the weather takes a turn for the worse, we will simply move the event indoors.

no childcare provded

Due to the nature of this event and the lack of facilities in the park, there will be no nursery or childcare provided. Parents will be responsible for their children and where they go. If at anytime you need help medically or need an area to feed your child, please let us know at the medical area under one of the smaller pavilions. You are also responsible for your children on the inflatables.

emergencies

Our Medical Pavillion is located near Main Pavillion 3 and will be marked with a large red cross. If at anytime you feel like you may need medical attention due to heat or other issue, please let us know immediately. We want everyone to have a safe, fun time at this year's Freedom Celebration!
